- Caeté was the first sugar production plant to be acquired by the Group in 1965. As a visionary man, Carlos Lyra was then looking for ways to grow sugarcane in the elevated areas of the state of Alagoas (AL). His dream could only be realized with the use of large quantity of fertilizers necessary to enhance the fertility of the soil for sugarcane production. The plant, which is located in the Valley of San Miguel dos Campos, runs extension facilities in Roteiro and Barra de Sao Miguel. Like with all the companies belonging to the Group, the Caeté production plant benefits from continuous investments towards higher quality and technology.
